… Il nous suffit d’ignorer la réalité, 2009

By the same process of light used in Point de Fuite ( Vanishing Point) , directed at fooling us about the truth, these images are exposed, executed with acrylics, depicting assembled people , on the exterior, seemingly face to face with an empty space- ‘framed’ in a way that almost only reveals one part of their body. These images are constructed around emptiness, designating a place for absence, towards which we can only suppose that all looks converge. The utilization of the flash of the photographic apparatus, artificial symbol permitting the revelation of what is dissimulated comes retrospectively charging the empty spaces of images, giving them new meaning. These red floors evoke then the bodies of victims, the dead, tombs – that , which we might choose to ignore.
